About Me
I am a home brewer, home wine maker, and avid world traveler. Beer is my first love, wine is my mistress, travel is my passion. I have decided to combine these interests into this blog site to provide others insight and reference to great travel and the enjoyment of great beer and wine. I have visited too many breweries, wineries and distilleries to count (hundreds just in America). I have traveled four out of the seven continents, with a goal of visiting all.
My home is in Denver, Colorado (arguably one of the great beer towns across America, if not the world). I have lived and worked in Holland, where I discovered and fell in love with Belgian beers. In day to day life I am a project manager in the information technology industry. I am currently on an extended tour of the globe, seeking out great travel, beer, wine, and other interesting fermented beverages.
What This Site Is About
This site is dedicated to providing information about beers/wines/spirits I encounter as I travel around the globe. I will also post about the travel.
This site is not a travel site. I will not provide bookings or organize tours. This is not a beer rating site. I follow RateBeer (http://www.ratebeer.com) and BeerAdvocate (http://www.beeradvocate.com), who do a fine job of providing feedback on the quality and ranking of beer produced around the world. I will recommend breweries, wineries, beer, wine, other fermentables and travel spots which I have enjoyed. I do not get paid for my postings, and am not part of a marketing organization.
