Beer Sampling at the Qatari Airport
During an 11 hour layover at Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar it became apparent that there is no Qatari beer. Alcohol production is strictly prohibited in Qatar. The airport bar served Heineken, Stella and Balik, a Swiss barley wine. The choice was obvious... I had to go with the Balik. It has a nice malt profile with oak, and a dry finish. Should help me nap before the next flight.
